Court of Appeals Denies Fort Collins’ Request to Stay Decision


Court Also Denies Anti-Fracking Group’s Motion to Intervene in Fort Collins’ Appeal

Denver, CO – December 12, 2014 – Colorado’s courts continue to rule against interests seeking to either ban or illegally impede hydraulic fracturing in the state.  The latest ruling today by the Colorado Court of Appeals denied a request by the City of Fort Collins asking for a stay of a district court’s ruling invalidating the five-year moratorium on hydraulic fracking passed by voters in 2013.

Colorado Oil & Gas Association Seeks Declaratory Judgment Invalidating Broomfield Fracking Ban


Denver, CO – November 24, 2014 -- The Colorado Oil & Gas Association (COGA) today filed a complaint for declaratory judgment to invalidate the City and County of Broomfield's ban on hydraulic fracturing. Measure 300, which passed by 20 votes in November 2013, imposed a five year moratorium on the use of hydraulic fracturing to extract oil and gas and the storage or disposal of hydraulic fracturing waste within Broomfield.
