COGA Programs
With over 50 events and programs in a year, COGA continues to develop and build out programs that educate, engage and mobilize the employees of member companies. - Member Spotlight Luncheon
Member Spotlight Luncheons are a forum for member companies to provide an educational presentation of their activities to an industry audience. They are free to COGA members, $10 for non-members, and include a boxed lunch. To apply to host a COGA Member Spotlight Lunch please complete this form.
- COGA Connect
These wildly popular quarterly members only luncheons emphasize deliberate networking and feature industry leaders and experts discussing a variety of topics from midstream developments and industry’s economic outlook to leadership and entrepreneurialism.
- EnGen
As part of our focus on education, we are proud to continue COGA’s Energy Generation Leadership Program (EnGen) and work to expand and formalize the EnGen Alumni Network. The one-year, curriculum based leadership development program, tailored specifically for young professionals in the oil and gas industry, will continue with the fourth class beginning in January and running through November. With the guidance of industry leaders, the thoughtfully crafted curriculum provides members with a comprehensive approach to professional development through a series of monthly events which include educational seminars, social networking events, and community outreach projects. o The Mission of EnGen is to provide industry-specific leadership and professional development focused upon educating and empowering the next generation of oil and gas leaders. Objectives include: • Empower through education • Engage with industry leaders • Unite professionals from diverse facets of industry • Establish relationships with the community through outreach projects • Improve industry retention of future leaders
- COGA Quiz Night
Quiz Night provides a more casual approach to industry education and are a great way to meet new people. These quarterly events promote networking and industry learning through team-based industry trivia.
- Speaker's Bureau
As part of our grassroots outreach, COGA will offer to participate in regular speaking engagements for student, political, and community organizations. COGA will continue to grow and educate our previously established speaker’s bureau. - Small Operator Half Day
COGA hosts an annual half-day training for small operators each fall that is focused on providing skills for better community engagement, information on the state of the industry, and regulatory and compliance updates from state agencies.
- Networking Events
COGA will continue the high standard of networking events presented quarterly to members and potential members. These fresh and engaging events provide unparalleled networking experience with industry’s finest.
- Annual Meeting
Hosted every November as the largest member company gathering, COGA’s Annual Meeting reviews the industry’s previous year, while also conducting official business and making an industry call-to-action for the next year. COGA’s board is elected each year during this meeting.
- The Energy Summit
COGA is proud to host the premier industry conference, The Energy Summit (TES). After 28 years, this conference maintains a reputation for delivering thought-provoking and progressive content and offering the best networking opportunity in the Rockies. Member companies have the exclusive opportunity to reserve an exhibit booth in the Energy Summit Expo, and participate in the members-only Annual Golf Tournament. The Energy Summit is the most well-established annual conference and expo focused on energy development. - Workshops
COGA will periodically host workshops related to regulatory developments, compliance, legislative issues, or other technical topics that are of interest to our members.
- COGA Elite Cycling Team
The Colorado Oil and Gas Association has partnered with Rocky Mountain Velo as title sponsor through the 2018 season. Known as the COGA Elite Cycling Team, they provide structure for the development of Colorado's next generation of elite athletes and carry the positive message of responsible energy development in Colorado. Using bicycle racing and training to access a voting demographic outside of the typical oil and gas community gives the opportunity to open the eyes of new supporters. COGA Elite Cycling races events across the state from March through September. COGA members and friends of the industry have the opportunity to ride side by side with the team each July at Children's Hospital Colorado Courage Classic, a fundraising ride benefiting Children's Hospital Colorado.
