*
Yes
No
3) SB-181 generated significant discussion about local control of oil and gas operations versus state control. Which of the following statements most closely matches your view:
*
I support more local control but not the ability to enact a ban or moratorium
I support more local control, which includes the ability to ban
The state has the resources and the regulators to appropriately regulate oil and natural gas development
The state should just ban oil and natural gas development in Colorado
4) Last year, Governor Polis expressed concern about the Air Quality Control Commission’s (AQCC) potential overreach in regulating Colorado businesses saying “We’re not willing to give dictatorial authority over our economy to one unelected board that lacks the broader mandate and expertise.” Do you agree or disagree that these unelected boards and commissions need more specific guidance and guardrails when drafting new regulations and should be reined in?

5) In your opinion, what is the greatest benefit the oil and natural gas industry provides to Colorado?

6) In Colorado we’ve seen a robust legislative and regulatory push for an energy transition centered on displacing oil and gas with renewable sources of energy. The transition to intermittent wind and solar has already created problems in Europe that have exposed consumers to incredible energy price spikes and resource shortages, and California and other states now face the prospect of rolling blackouts and heightened concerns regarding grid reliability. How will you approach votes on energy legislation that balance reliability, affordability and sustainability?
*
7) On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, how important do you believe the oil and natural gas industry is to our state’s economy?
