Community Impact

The oil and natural gas community is dedicated to making Colorado a better place, and their work doesn’t stop when they clock out at the end of the day.  The 100,000 industry employees across the state show they care by donating their time and money to support more than 500 organizations across Colorado.  Their extra efforts touch a variety of causes including arts and recreation to supporting veterans, educating youth and helping under-served families.

2021 Community Impact Report
Picture
In 2021, the world was still dealing with the pandemic, but with all the challenges we
collectively faced, our industry continued to stay strong, came together and supported
our communities.

Many partners featured in this report
understand the impact our industry
has on the state and step up to
support us again and again. COGA is
now in the fifth year of sharing this
community impact report and looks
forward to working with you to
make an even more significant
impact in 2022!

COGA’s members have demonstrated leadership on issues that Coloradans care about – not just through words, but through action, investing millions each year and volunteering thousands of hours. Our collective and ongoing work, whether out in the field or volunteering at a nonprofit, brings alignment to the values we all share – clean air and clean water, safe schools and strong families, support for our communities, and protecting the beautiful state that we all call home.

Community Impact Report Library

COGA members supported a diverse range of organizations across the nonprofit sector – but especially those most impacted by the pandemic, such as education, underserved populations, and cultural institutions.

Since 2017, COGA has documented our member’s efforts in a series of reports.  These reports highlight the measurable impact of the oil and gas industry in the communities where we live and work.
