Regulatory Resources
Colorado is a national leader in its commitment to fostering safe and responsible development of Colorado’s oil and natural gas resources.
COGA is always working to increase the industry’s visibility by increasing our political leadership. Our most direct way to accomplish this goal is through the Colorado Energy Education Political Action Committee (CEEPAC).
The purpose of CEEPAC is to provide the oil and gas industry a crucial voice in the Colorado political process by educating and providing financial support to candidates for state and local office who support COGA’s public policy values.

Continuing COGA’s work over the years, local regulatory engagement remains a key focus of our overall strategy. With the removal of statewide ballot initiatives affecting oil and gas development across Colorado, many local jurisdictions have initiated local regulatory efforts. COGA has proactively expanded its community outreach team to engage in local oil and gas rulemakings, proposed bans or moratoria, local ballot initiatives, and other related developments.
