Industry Advocate of the Year Award: Craig Meis, Tallgrass Energy
Craig Meis is Vice President of Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and DOT Compliance at Tallgrass Energy. A 25-year veteran of the oil and gas industry, Craig has a well-established reputation as an advocate and defender of our industry. A Colorado native, he has an unrivaled understanding and appreciation of the unique opportunities and challenges facing operators in the Rocky Mountain region.
As a founding member and first president of the West Slope Colorado Oil and Gas Association, Craig served tirelessly to educate community leaders, elected officials and other stakeholders regarding industry issues, challenges, benefits and opportunities. He also represented Coloradans as a member of the Mesa County Board of Commissioners. |
Emerging Leader of the Year Award: Audrey (Carlson) Barrios, Liberty Oilfield Services
Audrey (Carlson) Barrios serves as Marcom Manager at Liberty Oilfield Services and is responsible for the overall branding of the company, advertising, customer relations, governmental affairs and community outreach.
Audrey led the employee mobilization efforts to defeat Proposition 112 in 2018 and represents Liberty’s industry and community engagement as the current co-chair of COGA’s Employee Engagement Committee as well as serving on the managing board of Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development (CRED). |
Fred Julander Lifetime Achievement Award: Bob Boswell, Laramie Energy
This award honors an individual who has performed outstanding service and achieved noteworthy accomplishments over the course of their career in Colorado’s oil and natural gas industry.
Bob Boswell’s impressive career as an innovator and leader in the oil and gas industry made him the ideal recipient for this year’s Fred Julander Lifetime Achievement Award. Bob is an experienced oil and gas corporate executive with a strong track record of managing and growing both public and private exploration and production companies. In addition to his noteworthy accomplishments, Bob further demonstrates his commitment to Colorado’s oil and natural gas industry by serving on COGA’s Advisory Board as well as maintaining membership in a multitude of industry organizations and trade associations including Western Energy Alliance, Independent Petroleum Association of America, and the All-American Wildcatters. Bob Boswell’s exceptional devotion of time, effort, thought, and action serves as an inspiration throughout the industry. |
