Panelist Profile | Q&A with DavePlease provide additional resources (readings, articles, links, etc.) for your session topic. Oh my, where to begin. There are literally so many articles everyday. I’ll keep a lookout and send any in the coming weeks that would be really helpful. Here’s just a few from my inbox today: https://www.enr.com/articles/54438-us-lng-export-projects-ramp-up-in-gap-of-closed-freeport-site-in-texas https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-humbled-biden-goes-to-saudi-arabia-riyadh-mohammed-bin-salman-oil-security-nuclear-weapons-iran-israel-putin-opec-11657723094 https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/15/business/economy/germany-russia-natural-gas.html Why do you think your panel topic is critical in the oil and natural gas industry at this time? The ability to export US NGLs and natural gas has a direct link to the underlying price of US domestic prices that producers receive and thus the resulting economic support for increased drilling and investment in infrastructure to get those products to market. Also for the globe to progress in reducing carbon emissions and improving quality of living standards and health impacts (burning wood/biomass results in millions of deaths annually around the globe due to lung disease), NGLs and LNG are critical to achieving these goals. A number of dynamics from government regulation, investor sentiment, pandemic impacts, etc. are all impacting the ability of the US and global producers to achieve what the market ultimately demands. How would you recommend that someone stays current on these issues, if they are interested or want to know more? I’d say start with reading RBN’s free daily blog to learn about a wide array of industry topics. I’d then suggest looking at company presentations and ESG materials from the likes of Enterprise Products, Antero Resources, and EQT. There are a number of 3rd party services that can be subscribed to as well such as Platts, Energy Aspects, Natural Gas Intelligence, etc. Any great books or binge-worthy shows to recommend?
