About Katy GilKaty Gil is the Director of Nuclear Regulatory Affairs for Arizona Public Service Company (APS), Arizona’s largest electric company. Based in Phoenix, APS serves nearly 1.3 million customers and is one of the fastest-growing investor-owned electric utilities in the United States. Gil works at the Palo Verde Generating Station, the nation’s largest producer of carbon-free energy where she is responsible for oversight and direction of the station’s nuclear regulatory and environmental departments. She started in the Nuclear Regulatory Affairs Department in 2022. Gil began her career at Palo Verde in 2006 and prior to being in Nuclear Regulatory Affairs she served in various positions of increasing responsibility at Palo Verde in the Engineering, Operations, Business Services, Organizational Effectiveness, and Communications Departments. Gil obtained a U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Senior Reactor Operator License in 2013.
