Session: Combating Climate Change Together

Everything we do each day has an impact on our environment – from driving cars, growing, and consuming food, building, or remodeling our homes and providing the power to make it all happen. The oil and natural gas industry in Colorado is taking bold, proactive steps toward sustainability and cleaning our air to ensure we have a long and thriving future. We are not alone in this endeavor, with many other like-minded industries in the state showing their leadership and making major changes to lower their emissions and shrink their footprints.  This panel will feature our partners in progress, focusing on our collective efforts to combat climate change and integrate strategies within current regulatory efforts.

2021 Panelist Profile | Q&A with Kristin

Have you attended The Energy Summit before? As a guest or panelist?
As an enthusiastic guest!

What made you decide to join us at this 33rd Annual Energy Summit conference to participate on this panel, and how they are interpreted?
At CSI our mission is to protect and promote Colorado’s economy. There is no other industry in Colorado that contributes as much in terms of jobs and economic impact to our state than oil & gas. I’m proud to be part of the speaking lineup.

Why do you think your panel topic is critical in the oil and natural gas industry at this time?
Climate change and GHG has been a hot topic lately, especially coming out of the 2021 legislative session. But before policies are developed and enacted it is important to understand the tradeoffs and how to effectively become more sustainable.
