Panelist Profile | Q&A with SaraPlease provide additional resources (readings, articles, links, etc.) for your session topic. What’s Your And? – John Garrett (thejohngarrett.com) Have you attended The Energy Summit before? As a guest or panelist? Have only attended the virtual sessions and looking forward to being in person! Why do you think your panel topic is critical in the oil and natural gas industry at this time? The O&G industry is struggling to attract and retain top talent and as an industry we need to be able to proactively address these concerns in our employee base. This is from the perspective of traditional office jobs to field jobs and will greatly impact our ability to successfully and safely operate. The industry needs to demonstrate strides taken in talent management and highlight the value we add to our communities and refresh the pride of working in the energy industry. How would you recommend that someone stays current on these issues, if they are interested or want to know more? Be open to any and all sources of information. It is easy to have blinders but continuous education and striving to see multiple viewpoints is critical for understanding the current drivers of motivation for employees.
