About Angela JohnAngela John is Director of Innovation for New Energy Ventures at Williams where she is responsible for creating and implementing commercial strategies for low carbon energy solutions, along with developing new business that helps customers meet their emissions reductions goals. Her team is accountable for Williams’ Corporate Venture Capital program, partnerships with innovation labs and universities, and Williams’ New Energy Ventures Strategy. Angela also serves as a Non-Executive Director and a member of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee for the Parkland Corporation Board of Directors. Previously, Angela spent 27 years at BP including 19 years in the global supply and trading organization. In her last role, she focused on providing deal structures to support financing renewable and low carbon projects. Prior to focusing on low carbon energy solutions, Angela was responsible for building energy commodity businesses and held a variety of leadership positions including Senior Vice President Marketing and Origination and Vice President Marketing and Supply. Angela served on the board of the LPG Charity Fund from 2017-2021. Between 2010 and 2018 she served on the Board of the National Propane Gas Association in roles including Supplier Section Chair and Vice-Chair of the Propane Supply and Logistics Committee. Angela earned an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Houston.
